My 11B students are participating in a social project, which involves organizing different charity events. This year girls had a fund-raising fair, where they sold home-made cookies and drinks. The money they raised was spend on purchasing goods (clothes, toothpaste, sweets, fruit) for the children who live in orphanage located in Stepanivka village. We also organized a concert for children and played games with them. It was a very special event, filled with warm emotions, hugs and tears. We returned home with changed hearts…
On April 6th-13th the team of students from First City Gymnasia took part in International Rotary Debates visiting a wonderful country of Israel. We had a great experience of debating and received lots of highlights from the trip!

Mr. Cap Hensley, a volunteer from the USA has donated many English books and other teaching resources to my classroom – I am on cloud seven 🙂 !!! Now I can have reading classes with my younger students. Besides there is a number of different dictionaries and texbooks on methodology that I can use for myself. Now my classroom looks very modern ))) Cap is planning to spend the next yearteaching in Cherkasy, so we hope to see him more often )
